Launch Day for "The Chosen"

This is the first ever multi-season TV show about the life of Christ and it debuts today.

On-set preparations to shoot a scene from "The Chosen."

The Chosen is now available for your viewing pleasure...at least the first four episodes, that is. This show, from Christian director Dallas Jenkins, aims to present Jesus to viewers through the eyes of those who knew him - Peter, Mary Magdalene, Nicodemus, et cetera - thus telling the Gospel story in a fresh and accessible way.

Christian Film Blog has seen the program and feels the filmmakers pulled it off (read our review here). In a word, it is well-worth watching and we think it will be a hit. The series is available on the VidAngel streaming platform - for a fee - but there is a 48-hour window in which you can watch episode one at no charge. Click this link to check it out.

Season one will ultimately consist of eight episodes, but the final four of them will not be ready until fall. The new trailer for The Chosen, just released today, will give you a good feel for the show.
