A Good Debut for the Holiday Production from For King and Country

The Christian band's Christmas tour film lands a spot in the Top-10 at the box office.

Fans of For King and Country showed up at North American movie theaters over the weekend for their concert film for King + Country's A Drummer Boy Christmas Live, giving the production a $2.2 million dollar open. That put it in eighth place overall from Friday through Sunday, according to data from The Numbers website.


The band, consisting of the brother duo of Joel and Luke Smallbone, is among the top acts in the Contemporary Christian music genre, and this movie is a pre-recorded concert from their current Christmas tour. Scheduled as a limited release, it will play in theaters only through December 18th and you can purchase tickets to a location in your area via this link to the website of distributor Fathom Events.
