The Christian actor and Hallmark Channel regular is going behind the camera as producer for a feature film.
Kristoffer Polaha is best known for his roles in Hallmark original movies, including the 2017 Yuletide hit, Rocky Mountain Christmas, which was among the highest rated flicks ever on the Hallmark Movies & Mysteries channel. And fans of faith-based films may remember his performance a couple years back as a derelict father in Run the Race from executive producer, and famous Christian athlete, Tim Tebow.
While Polaha is still an actor, he has apparently decided to broaden his resume and try his hand at producing. He took to social media today to announce the endeavor, telling fans, "Well, it's official. I'm producing a film called A Yorkshireman's Story." The post was accompanied by picture of the script, which was written by a screenwriter named Scott Morris, and it is based on a true story about "the heroics of England during the first weeks of World War I."
Polaha is a devoted Believer - you should read his powerful testimony - and, as big fans, we will be rooting for his success, which is far from assured: we know how tough making a movie is since we are closing in on the finish line of our first feature, Miracle on Christmas. And he acknowledges as much himself, concluding his social media announcement by saying, "Now to find some actors and some money and lot's of it!!"
There's no telling at this point when production will start, let alone be completed, if it ever is. So join us in lifting up our Christian brother in prayer: may the Lord bless Kristoffer Polaha with His favor in this project and use it to advance His Kingdom.
