Though it is winding down its release on the big screen, Unsung Hero still managed to bring in $46,000 from Friday through Sunday, according to The Numbers website, putting the picture in 24th place overall. That came despite its playing in just 134 theaters this past weekend, and it pushes the picture's total North-American ticket revenue of $20.3 million, which is more than triple its production budget of $6 million.

The faith-based film, co-written and co-directed by famous Christian musician Joel Smallbone, tells the true story of his family's challenging relocation from Australia to America in the early 1990s. Executive produced by the brother duo of Andrew and Jon Erwin - the top filmmakers in the Christian genre - it also features a strong cast, including Candace Cameron Bure and Lucas Black, both of whom are committed Believers.

The movie will likely not be in domestic theaters much longer since it is releasing tomorrow - June 11th - on digital home entertainment. It is, however, rolling out more broadly on the silver screen internationally and will be hitting in the United Kingdom this Friday, June 14th.
