Average Joe delivered more than $137,000 in domestic ticket revenue from Friday through Sunday, according to Box Office Mojo. That is down from $1.1 million from its debut the previous weekend, a massive drop that followed a similarly large fall in the number of theaters playing the movie: 1,713 versus 270. Despite that reduction, it still came in 23rd place overall this past weekend.

The picture was originally slated as an eight-day limited release but got extended to 15 days thanks to its solid open. Directed by Christian filmmaker Harold Cronk and starring Eric Close in the lead, Average Joe tells the true story of a high school football coach who was fired for praying at midfield after games.

After ten days in release, it has generated more than $2 million at the box office. The movie will play in theaters through this Thursday, October 24th, and you can purchase tickets to a venue in your area via this link to the website of distributor Fathom Events.
