Bonhoeffer: Pastor. Spy. Assassin. earned $234,000 in ticket revenue from Friday through Sunday, according to The Numbers website. That was good enough for 17th place overall, one spot lower than a week earlier, and came even though the movie's ticket sales fell nearly 60% and its theater count dropped 53% over the same period; it is now playing in 445 venues in North America.

The faith-based biopic is set primarily in World War II era Nazi Germany and it tells the story of Dietrich Bonhoeffer, a pastor who stood against the regime in an effort to save Jews from Adolph Hitler and his henchmen. His resistance would ultimately lead to his execution by the National Socialists in 1945 as the conflict neared its end.

Through 24 days in release, the picture has generated more than $11.8 million in domestic ticket sales. Curiously, it has not yet been rolled out overseas.
