The Christian actor speaks to God's mercy even through a time of tremendous family loss.

Carlos PenaVega and his wife, Alexa, endured a tragic loss last April with the still birth of their fourth child, a daughter they named Indy. As Christian Film Blog reported, it came after a difficult pregnancy and, at times, left the couple feeling "absolutely gutted."

They drew solace, however, from their faith in Christ, with Alexa stating that God continued to "comfort and hold us in His arms." In a recent interview with CBN News, Carlos pointed out how the Lord used fellow Believers at the couple's new church to help in their difficult journey.

They had recently moved to Tennessee and the stillbirth took place on a Saturday. Despite the terrible event, Carlos says the PenaVegas decided the next day nonetheless - for just the second time - to attend a Sunday service at the church.

"And we were worshipping - it's a smaller church - and I'll never forget that we're standing in the middle, and the worship team is in front of us, and Alexa and I are holding each other, just bawling, like bawling. Nobody knew who we were, but the entire church surrounded us, laid hands on us. And it was like this supernatural peace just came over us regarding the entire situation. And it was like God saying, 'You're not alone, I got you and I have you here for a reason, and I'm going to take this and turn it into something amazing.'"

The actor added that it has been "amazing to see, especially with Alexa, how much God has been working in her through this loss," stating that He "is just covering" the family through their bereavement.

Not long after the tragedy, the couple was able to make a movie together, starring opposite each other in Get Him Back for Christmas, a holiday romance. Not only did it air last month on Great American Family channel, but it was also the first picture from Good for You Entertainment, the PenaVegas' new production company. The couple hopes to produce more films, with Carlos stating that he wants "to make faith-based movies that reach the people who don't believe in Jesus."
