Best-known for her clean comedy standup routines, Chonda Pierce is increasingly focusing her efforts on acting. When Roll with It hits the silver screen for a limited engagement next week, it will make three feature films for the comedian since 2020.

The movie tells the tale of a struggling waitress, played by Pierce, who needs to win prize money in a karaoke contest in order to save her house from foreclosure. The 63-year-old Kentucky native and outspoken Believer should benefit from a supporting cast that includes Christian actors Mark Christopher Lawrence, Shari Rigby, and Michael W. Smith, who is - of course - also a multiple Grammy-Award-winning musician...and, yes, he is among the other contestants for the karaoke winnings.

Roll with It was written and directed by Chris Dowling, who is a Believer with several good faith-based films to his credit, including Where Hope Grows, Priceless, and Run the Race. The movie, scheduled for a three-day limited release, comes to theaters next Tuesday, May 9th, and you can purchase tickets to a venue in your area via this link to the website of distributor Fathom Events. The trailer below will give you a good idea of what to expect.
