Fans of The Chosen, who are waiting for Season 4 to release in February, will get something of a tide-me-over when the show's latest Yuletide special rolls out this week, and there may well be a sense of deja vu, too. That is because Christmas with The Chosen: Holy Night will blend previous productions together to tell the story of the birth of Christ.

Show creator/director Dallas Jenkins has combined his streaming show's 2017 pilot - The Shepherd - with the production Christmas with The Chosen: The Messengers, which was a big hit when it released in theaters during the holiday season in 2021. The result will be a telling of the Nativity through the eyes of a shepherd and expectant Mary, who of course became the mother of Jesus.

Elizabeth Tabish and Vanessa Benavente, respectively Mary Magdalene and Mary the aforementioned mother of the Savior, are the only members of the regular cast from the series who take part in this production; actress Sara Anne plays the role of the younger mother Mary and Raj Bond is opposite her as Joseph. And it will not be just a dramatic cinematic rendition of the birth of Christ on tap either, as a host of top artists will provide a separate musical element, too, including world famous tenor Andrea Bocelli and his son Matteo, and Christian singers Brandon Lake, Matt Maher, and Zach Williams.

Christmas with The Chosen: Holy Night releases tomorrow, December 12th, and runs through Sunday, December 17th. You can purchase tickets to a theater in your area via this link to the website of distributor Fathom Events, and the trailer below will give you a better sense of what to expect.
