The Christian actress will play the lead in one of the season's new made-for-TV movies on Great American Family channel.
If you are just not feeling the whole Christmas-in-July thing, there is good news: the traditional Christmas movie marathon season is just 100 days away on Great American Family channel! That means October 21st, which we will grant you is still super early, but that is nonetheless when the cable network will launch its third annual Great American Christmas programming event.
Danica McKellar is one of the channel's big stars and, as such, is getting a prime slot for her new picture, which is called A Royal Christmas Romance. The movie, which is the first that she co-wrote and also her first dance movie, will debut on Thanksgiving weekend, the traditional time when folks start turning their attention to all things Christmas.
It will be one of at least 21 new Yuletide movies on Great American Family, and others will include leading ladies like Lori Loughlin, Candace Cameron Bure, Jill Wagner and Jen Lilley - the last three of whom are committed Christians. Bure, also the network's chief creative officer, will star in My Christmas Hero, which pays tribute to American military veterans, as we previously reported here. Christian Film Blog will bring you times and air dates for the 24/7 holiday programming marathon once we are closer to the launch of Great American Family's Christmas schedule.
In the meantime, we will shamelessly plug our own faith-based, Christmas movie for those of you who are into Christmas-in-July: it's called Miracle on Christmas and it stars Erin Bethea as a Believer struggling with her faith until an unexpected visitor changes everything. You can watch it for free on Amazon Prime Video or Tubi TV, and the trailer below will give you a feel for what to expect.
So you're putting the college crook actress Lori Loughlin on your station. I won't watch any of her movies! I can promise you that!
