The Great American Family headliner will star in two new movies in the Yuletide season.
Candace Cameron Bure and fellow cast and crew launch production in a couple of weeks on her second Christmas movie of the year. It is called Jingle Bells, Wedding Bells and it features her in the role of a wedding planner tasked with pulling off a couple's big day on Christmas Eve, but with only two weeks' notice.
That picture, which will also star Canadian actor Cameron Mathison, will air in November as part of Great American Family's fourth annual Great American Christmas programming event. And it will not be Bure's only new holiday picture either, as the Christian actress is set to headline A Christmas Less Traveled as well.
Though that title sounds to us like a twist on a line from the famous Robert Frost poem, The Road Not Taken, the story is much different, featuring her character on one last ride in her late father's vintage pickup truck "to retrace her family's most memorable moments," as the synopsis puts it. The movie is to focus on things like "forgiveness, and faith, and allowing faith to be bigger than fear," according to a promotional clip from Bure.
No air date has yet been announced for that one, but the channel's Christmas programming runs from late October right up to Christmas, and Christian Film Blog will bring you updates as we get them. In the meantime, the trailer below will give you a better feel for what you can expect. Oh, and if you just cannot wait to watch Christmas movies, Great American Family is playing them nearly all day right now as part of their Christmas in July event.
