The series about the earthly ministry of Jesus claims three spots in the box office Top-20.

Season 5 of The Chosen continues to deliver in North American theaters, with its three parts collectively bringing in $2.3 million from Friday through Sunday, according to The Numbers website. Each of the installments is classified as a stand-alone movie since they are showing individually, and the breakdown is as follows: part three grabbed ninth place overall at the box office with $1.5 million, part two took 15th position at $466,000, and part one delivered $360,00, putting it in 16th place.

The show from Christian filmmaker Dallas Jenkins stars American actor Jonathan Roumie in the role of Jesus, and this latest eight-episode season takes place over Holy Week, featuring things like the Triumphal Entry, Jesus' driving the money changers out of the temple, and the Last Supper. There are still two season to come, Seasons 6 and 7, with production having just begun on the former, as Christian Film Blog recently reported.
Back to Season 5, it has so far generated $43 million since part one first released at the end of last month, and it is not done yet: all three parts of the production will be in theaters through this coming Thursday, April 24th, and you can find a location in your area and purchase tickets via this link to the website of distributor Fathom Events.
