"Faith, Hope & Love" Hangs on at Box Office

This Christian romcom has made the most of its very limited distribution.

Peta Murgatroyd prays in a scene from "Faith, Hope & Love."

Now down to just a single theater, Faith, Hope & Love, from Christian director/actor Robert Krantz, earned a bit under $2,000 over the weekend, according to The Numbers. It would seem, however, that this is not the end of its run, because the faith-based film's website indicates it will open in a few more theaters in May.

A tiny distribution footprint has dogged this movie from the very beginning, its theater count never going higher than 18 when it first opened in mid-March. That's a real shame, too, since it has a lot to offer: humor, fantastic dance scenes, a touching emotional journey for the lead characters and quality acting.

Written and co-directed by Krantz, who also plays the lead role opposite professional dancer Peta Murgatroyd, Faith, Hope & Love tells the fictional tale of two emotionally wounded people who grow close after partnering for a dance contest.
