Another good weekend at the box office for this faith-based film.
The Girl Who Believes in Miracles comes in at number nine overall, making it four for four in weekend box office top-10 finishes since it released on April 2nd. The movie, which climbed as high as number six during its debut weekend, brought in $342,000 from Friday through Sunday, according to The Numbers.
That's down almost 40% from a week ago, when the movie played in 1,012 theaters versus 941 this past weekend. Total revenue now sits at $2,484,000: that's a particularly good number when you consider seating capacity is dramatically reduced in most venues because of coronavirus restrictions.
This faith-based movie stars Christian actor Kevin Sorbo, Oscar-winner Mira Sorvino, Emmy-winner Peter Coyote and child actor Austyn Johnson in the lead role and it tells the story of a girl whose prayers lead to miraculous healings in her small town.
