Season 4 of The Chosen will finally become available for free this weekend to its legion of fans. The hit show about the life of Christ enjoyed a successful theatrical run earlier this year, but the release on streaming platforms was delayed for months because of what creator/director Dallas Jenkins described in March as "legal matters."
Those issues - which he explained in a new social media post involved multiple breaches of contract by their erstwhile partners at Angel Studios - have now been resolved. So, the program, which stars Jonathan Roumie as the Jesus character, will release the first episode of its eight-episode fourth season in a livestream this coming Sunday, June 2nd at 7:00 PM EDT (GMT -4 hours).
That will be followed by a new episode each Thursday and Sunday throughout the month; the Thursday showings will all begin at 7:00 PM while the Sunday showings are scheduled for 8:30 PM. They will be available exclusively on the show's app (App Store and Google Play) and social media platforms - YouTube, X, Facebook, et cetera - before eventually rolling out via other outlets at a later date.
