The film about America's last great revival continues to deliver at the box office.
For the second weekend in a row, Jesus Revolution claimed seventh place at the box office. The movie from the Christian brother duo of Andrew and Jon Erwin earned nearly $3.5 million from Friday through Sunday, according to The Numbers website; the film, which has been in the Top-10 the entire time since it released 24 days ago, has brought in a grand total to $45.5 million in ticket revenue thus far.
Jesus Revolution is based on a book by the same name from California pastor Greg Laurie, who came to faith as teenager during what was called the Jesus movement in the late 1960s and early 1970s. The picture stars Joel Courtney, as Laurie, Kelsey Grammer and Christian actor Jonathan Roumie, who is the lead actor in the hit streaming series The Chosen.
