Someone Like You delivered $2.95 million in ticket revenue from Friday through Sunday, according to The Numbers website. That was good enough to put the picture in seventh place overall.

Based on a novel by the same name from bestselling author Karen Kingsbury, the movie the first from her eponymous production company. It stars Jake Allyn and Sarah Fisher and tells the story of a young man who loses his best friend, but then discovers that she has a previously unknown identical twin sister. Shot in Nashville, Tennessee, the movie is a limited release engagement originally set to play for just 10 days theatrically.

That may, however, be extended due to its box office performance: distributor Fathom Events has now listed additional dates on its website, though there are no showings actually listed that we could see. At any rate, the movie will definitely be available in theaters through Thursday, April 11th, and you can purchase tickets to a venue in your area via this link to the website of Fathom Events.
