Her 2022 film "The Way" serves as the basis for the free course, which starts next week.
Kathie Lee Gifford is among the boldest Christians in show business, regularly speaking about her faith. The Christian filmmaker, actress, singer and former host of the Today show and Live with Regis and Kathie Lee, is also committed to studying Scripture and helping others do so as well, so she has teamed up with ordained minister and Christian teacher Joanne Moody for this latest Bible study.
It is called The God Who Sees and it is the third in a series of courses based on Gifford's film The Way, which we wrote about here when it released back in the summer of 2022. This study will consist of six videos that focus on Biblical figures Hagar, Boaz, Ruth, David, and Mary Magdalene. It will also provide additional study materials from FaithGateway, a Christian division of publisher HarperCollins.
There is a common thread of trials and testing in the lives of those aforementioned heroes of the faith, and promotional material emphasizes that, "It is often in desert places that God is doing His best work." They also possessed a shared trust in His steadfastness and love, as Gifford - who finds "their stories so fascinating" - underlines in a social media post promoting the Bible study.
"...they discovered that God never abandoned them. They experienced the presence of El Roi, the God Who Sees."
The study kicks off on Monday, March 4th and is free, as we mentioned, though you need to sign up in order to take part. You can do so via this link to the website of FaithGateway, and the video below will give you a better sense of what to expect.
