The Christian actress plays the lead in what she calls a "celebration of friendship."
The Wedding Veil is the latest Hallmark Channel production featuring Lacey Chabert and it premieres this Saturday. Among the top stars at the network, she is joined in the cast by fellow Hallmark regulars Kevin McGarry, Autumn Reeser and Alison Sweeney; the latter two play her long-time friends and McGarry is the love interest in this first installment of what's to be a trilogy.
At the heart of the story is what the synopsis describes as "a mysterious, antique veil fabled to unite its bearer with her true love." The three friends purchase it together aiming to find out if the legend is true.
In a social media post, Chabert calls the made-for-TV movies in this trilogy "a celebration of friendship" and of course "romance." Her character is the curator at a museum and McGarry is a member of the board; the discovery of a long-lost painting and a gala to display it are also thrown into the mix.
On the personal front, the Mississippi native is still grieving the loss of her older sister Wendy, who died unexpectedly last month, as we reported at the time. On December 24th, the actress took to social media to remember her late sibling, saying "We love you forever and ever and ever and miss you so much, Wendy."
The Wedding Veil airs on Hallmark Channel Saturday, January 8th at 8:00 PM EST/7:00 PM CST and you can check out the trailer via this link to the network's website. In the meantime, please join us in lifting Lacey Chabert and her family up in prayer at this time of their bereavement.
