The British actress and "Black Panther" star is sharing her faith as boldly as ever.
As we have previously reported, Letitia Wright is a committed Christian who uses her fame to stand for the Gospel. The 27-year-old credits her faith with having saved her from depression and has publicly shared the story to help others confronting that condition.
In a recent interview with a British publication, she says her openness about her belief in Christ has not always been welcomed in the world of film and television that she inhabits. "I have had people tell me, 'Hey, you should stop talking about Jesus,'" Wright explained to The Independent. Adding that she "probably wouldn't be alive right now if it wasn't for Jesus," the Guyana-born star has chosen to reject the advice.
"And if someone saves you and brings light and love to your life, you want to share that. You don't want to hide it."
Wright, who played a prominent role in the 2018 hit Black Panther, is currently starring as a photographer looking for a loving relationship in a British TV show called I am Danielle. Despite all her professional success, she knows "The world is so fickle, and there's not much you can really put your hope in," making her walk with Christ so critically important: "It's been beautiful to have my faith in Jesus, which is worth more than anything."
