Candace Cameron Bure is the biggest star on the Hallmark family of networks, annually playing the lead in a new Christmas movie and in the on-going Aurora Teagarden Mysteries franchise. And now her daughter Natasha Bure is joining her for the latter production - at least the latest edition of it.

It's called Aurora Teagarden Mysteries: Haunted by Murder and the 23-year-old Bure will help flesh out the backstory of the eponymous character. She portrays the teenaged Aurora Teagarden who stumbles across a body in a house that locals believe to be haunted. Her scenes are featured in flashbacks while adult Aurora - played by Candace Cameron Bure - tries to solve that murder many years later.

In a promotional video for the show, Natasha Bure calls it "thrilling" to be in the movie since she gets "to play the younger version of Aurora, which is played by my mother." Cameron Bure and Natasha Bure are both outspoken Christians and, with 10 acting credits now to her name, the daughter is well on her way to following in her mother's footsteps. In a social media post promoting the program, Cameron Bure used the hashtag "proud mama" after asking the question, "Who doesn't love a good flashback in a movie?"

And this production turns out to be a twofer deal of sorts, because the teen version co-star Lexa Doig will also be played by her real-life daughter, Mia Shanks. Christian Film Blog hasn't yet seen Aurora Teagarden Mysteries: Haunted by Murder, but we certainly give the producers at Hallmark credit for creative casting.

If you'd like to watch it, you can do so this coming Sunday, February 20th, at 9:00 PM EST/8:00 PM CST on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries. In the meantime, this link to the trailer will give you a better sense for what to expect.
