This fourth iteration of the popular faith-based franchise will run as a limited three-day engagement.
Several high-profile Christian films will hit multiplexes across America later this year - as we've written here, here, here, and here - and God's Not Dead: We the People is a big one on that list. It releases October 4th and will be in theaters the 5th and 6th as well.
Christian Film Blog confirmed today with the movie's publicist that it will be put out via Fathom Events, though the information is not yet posted on that company's website. A joint venture between the three biggest U.S. theater chains - AMC, Regal and Cinemark - Fathom Events' showings run almost exclusively in their venues and usually on less busy nights during the week, as will be the case here.
The film stars David A.R. White, Antonio Sabato Jr., Grammy-winning Christian singer Francesca Battistelli, Isaiah Washington and Jeanine Pirro of the Fox News Channel. White, who is also serving as executive producer, reprises his role as Reverend Dave in the movie and goes to Washington, DC to fight for the rights of Christian homeschoolers against government interference. The trailer below gives a feel for what to expect.
