Filmmakers behind the Christian movie announce a staggered release schedule for digital, DVD and Blu-ray.

Overcomer is nearing the end of its theatrical run, having brought in more than $34 million since its release on August 22nd. Today comes word that the sixth feature film from the brother duo of Stephen Kendrick and Alex Kendrick will go on sale just before Thanksgiving, with digital purchases beginning on November 26th.

For those of you who prefer a hard copy, you'll have to wait a couple weeks longer. DVD and Blu-ray sales begin on December 17th, which will still allow you to get it in time for Christmas. And if you really love the Kendrick Brothers, then you'll be able to purchase a DVD gift set of all of their movies: Flywheel, Facing the Giants, Fireproof, Courageous, War Room and Overcomer. That deal is being offered exclusively through retailing behemoth Walmart and also starts December 17th.

Overcomer, which focuses on the importance of finding our identity in Christ, was written by Stephen and Alex Kendrick and directed by Alex, who is also one of the members of a good cast of Christian actors, including Cameron Arnett, Shari Rigby, Priscilla Shirer and Aryn Wright-Thompson.
