The Christian actresses join forces on the latter's popular podcast.
Wow, talk about a dynamic duo, Candace Cameron Bure is bringing Priscilla Shirer onboard for the eighth season of her podcast. Bure - among the most outspoken Believers in Hollywood - is the top star and Chief Content Officer at Great American Family channel, while Shirer is the lead actress in The Forge, the latest movie from the Kendrick Brothers.
The 49-year-old Dallas native is, however, more than just a talented actress, being first and foremost a renowned Bible teacher and best-selling author. She will serve as guest co-host of Candace Cameron Bure: The Podcast - which has produced more than 90 episodes thus far - and the two women will focus on prayer, discipleship, and Shirer's latest book, I Surrender All.
In a promotional video, Bure made clear she is a big fan of Shirer, stating that when she launched the podcast, "Priscilla was one of the first names I wrote down on my guest co-host wish list," and adding that "She is so wise and encouraging and beautiful inside and out." As to that book, the publisher's page describes it as a "fervent appeal and invitation to surrender everything to Jesus," and thus "move beyond being a Believer to becoming His disciple."
The first episode of Season 8 of Bure's podcast releases next Tuesday, October 29th, and you can find it on her website or wherever you listen to your favorite podcasts. In the meantime, the trailer below will give you a better sense for what to expect.
