Featuring a host of Christian actors, this true story of a human trafficking survivor releases tomorrow.

Pursuit of Freedom tells the harrowing ordeal of a woman named Anna who was abducted from her home in Ukraine and sold into prostitution in Amsterdam. As if that were not dreadful enough, she remains unsure for years about the fate of her three young children.

Michigan native Jessica Koloian plays the lead in this picture, which despite its terrifying circumstances, delivers an uplifting resolution that reflects the course of actual events, as Anna is ultimately reunited with her children through the efforts of Christians in both Europe and the former Soviet Union. Their intervention also helps lead her and her family to faith in Christ.

Fittingly, many of the characters are played by Christian actors, including Robert Amaya, Sharonne Lanier, Stelio Savante, Robia Scott, Todd Terry, Brett Varvel and Brayden Eaton (we think particluarly highly of the latter two, having cast them in our 2020 film Miracle on Christmas). Interestingly, Varvel and Terry are featured together in another new faith-based movie - Running the Bases - also about to release, as we reported here.

Pursuit of Freedom becomes available tomorrow, September 16th, primarily via video-on-demand platforms like Apple TV. It will also play in a small number of theaters, and you can find a list of those in this clip from the movie's Instagram page. The trailer below will give you a sense of what to expect.
