Christian Rabbi Jason Sobel and TBN Go In-Depth on The Passover Meal

The show examines the Last Supper as part of the channel's coming Holy Week programming schedule.

As Believers prepare for Easter, Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN) has put together a host of special shows to mark the miraculous Resurrection of Christ, including one about the final Passover meal He ate with his disciples. It is called Jesus in the Passover - with Rabbi Jason Sobel and it will air next week.

A Messianic Jew, Sobel is well-known to TBN viewers, having hosted multiple programs on the channel - the current one being God's Appointed Times that runs on Thursdays and Saturdays - and also being a popular author and a consultant on the hit streaming series The Chosen. In this one-off program about the Last Supper, he will walk viewers through the various aspects of the Jewish meal that commemorates the Passover.

The husband-and-wife leadership team of the network - Matt and Laurie Crouch - will join him in studio to discuss not just how Jesus introduced the Christian ordinance of Communion to the 12 Apostles during the gathering, but the significance of the rest of the meal, which Jews still mark to this day in remembrance of the Israelites' flight from slavery in ancient Egypt.

The program also presents actor-dramatized scenes from the Last Supper, and features someone familiar to die-hard fans of the aforementioned show, The Chosen: Yoshi Barrigas. The American actor, who played the Apostle Philip in Seasons 2 and 3, has gotten a serious promotion, as it were, portraying the Savior in this one.

Jesus in the Passover - with Rabbi Jason Sobel will air on TBN Thursday, April 17th at 8:00 PM EDT and 10:00 PM EDT (7:00 PM CDT and 9:00 PM CDT), as well as run on the TBN+ streaming platform.
