Our inaugural faith-based feature film aims to entertain and inspire a sense of hope when it debuts in early November.
It is with bated breath and a swell of pride - albeit a humble one - that we announce November 3, 2020 as the release date of Miracle on Christmas. That's the day DVDs will hit the shelves nationwide at major retailers like Walmart and Target, and when the movie becomes available on-demand and in the digital format. There are also streaming deals in the works which we hope to announce later, not to mention church showings around the nation.
Written and directed by yours truly, the movie tells the tale of Mary Boyce, a Christian woman struggling with fears and doubts, which is particularly apropos at this time of such uncertainty in our nation. Played by Erin Bethea (Fireproof), she is wavering in her faith until an unexpected visitor arrives for the extended family holiday celebration and changes everything.
Bethea is joined in the cast by fellow Christian actors Jason Burkey (I Can Only Imagine), Brett Varvel (Play the Flute) and Micah Lynn Hanson (Like Arrows) and they all turn in strong performances. The movie also features plenty of classic Christmas carols, loads of decorations, snow (not the faux stuff either) and - most important of all - a direct Gospel presentation of the hope that comes through Christ alone; we endeavored to avoid delivering that in a heavy-handed way in an effort to make the picture accessible to a general audience...we built in plenty of humor as well.
There is a pre-sale campaign underway right now and we'd be much obliged if you'd voice your support via word-of-mouth, social media and your wallet...it is the movie business after all. You can order the DVD for $9.99 from Amazon via this link, and it's coming soon to Walmart and Target's websites, too. You can also wait until November 3rd when it releases and buy it in person at the store, though a strong showing with these online pre-orders will really help us with the retailers, so we'd be most grateful if you would take the plunge as soon as possible.
As you may have noticed, that date also happens to be presidential election day in the United States. We can't think of a better way to spend the evening after you've done your civic duty than by capping it off with an entertaining dose of cinematic inspiration, because whether your candidate wins or loses, our true hope is found only in Christ, whose birth is the real Miracle on Christmas.
