Slight Uptick for "Faith, Hope & Love"

The Christian romantic comedy adds a theater and some revenue at the weekend box office.

Faith, Hope & Love earned $1,930 from Friday through Sunday, up 7.5% from the previous weekend, according to Box Office Mojo, putting it in 77th place overall. A doubling of the movie's theater count - from one to two - is responsible for the bump.

From writer/director Robert Kranz, who also plays the lead role, this film tells the tale of two emotionally wounded people brought together through a dance contest. Professional dancer Peta Murgatroyd, of Dancing with the Stars fame, plays opposite Kranz in her debut role on the big screen.

Faith, Hope & Love has struggled with limited distribution since it first came out in mid-March. The film's website indicates, however, that it will add a few more this week, so it's not done yet.
