The latest production from the hit show about Jesus' earthly ministry will play in theaters just three days more.
Episodes four through six of The Chosen delivered more than $1.8 million in ticket revenue from Friday through Sunday, according to data from The Numbers website, putting it in 10th place overall. That is a nearly 50% drop off from its $3.6-million performance the previous weekend when the production landed in the fifth place at the box office.
These episodes are lagging significantly behind episodes one through three, the initial batch that ran in theaters during the first two weeks of this month. Episodes four through six have thus far brought in just $7.9 million versus $12.2 million for episodes one through three at this same stage in release.
This latest installment of Season 4 runs through Wednesday, February 28th and will be followed the next day by the third and last set of episodes - seven and eight - which will play in theaters through March 7th.
