The faith-based documentary will hit store shelves in time for Christmas.
Show Me The Father just might make a nice Yuletide gift for someone on your list this year. And the timing will be right, because the inaugural documentary from the brother duo of Stephen and Alex Kendrick goes on sale December 7th.
The film shares several stories of fatherhood from well-known Believers like Pastor Tony Evans and former professional football player Eddie George. It also features the story of Stephen Kendrick's adoption from China of one of his six children. Ultimately, this documentary draws parallels between earthly fathers and the perfect fatherhood of God.
Show Me The Father recently wrapped up its theatrical release, having generated almost $1.8 million over four weeks on the big screen, according to Box Office Mojo. While that's not a big number, the movie was very well received by audiences, earning a rare "A+" from those surveyed on opening night by market research firm CinemaScore.
Both the DVD and digital versions will come with 30-minutes of bonus content, including behind the scenes footage and a special feature with Pastor Evans about reconciliation and mentorship. The Kendrick Brothers and their studio partners at Sony Pictures' Affirm Films will also offer a double-feature DVD that includes both Show Me The Father and Courageous Legacy, the recently released 10th anniversary update of the hit feature film Courageous. You'll be able to find both options when they go on sale in December via this link to the documentary's website.
