This new picture is in some respects a rather old one: it was shot in 2020 and originally scheduled to hit theaters in March of 2022, nearly three years ago. The studios behind it - Kingdom Story Company and Lionsgate - never made clear what prompted the hold up, but the wait is finally over.

This project from the duo of Andrew and Jon Erwin - among the top filmmakers in the Christian genre and producers of this one - stars Zachary Levi, Patricia Heaton, Meghann Fahy and Jacob Laval and tells the true story of a boy with both autism and brittle bone syndrome.

Laval plays the child, with Levi portraying his father and Heaton his grandmother. Those latter two actors are both Believers and have worked with the Erwins before: Levi in American Underdog and Heaton in Mom's Night Out.

Written and directed by John Gunn, another Christian who has productions like The Case for Christ, Ordinary Angels, and the coming series House of David to his credit, this is a true story adapted from a 2014 book entitled The Unbreakable Boy: A Father's Fear, a Son's Courage, and a Story of Unconditional Love. The film focuses on the father's "growing faith" and the son's "incredible spirit" as "they become 'unbreakable,' finding joy, gratitude, and courage even in the most trying times," according to the synopsis.

This movie will hit theaters nationwide on February 21st. In the meantime, the trailer below will give you a better feel for what you can expect.
