The Christian actress, filmmaker and former Today show host shares a message of hope as she marks the fourth anniversary of the death of husband Frank Gifford.
Former NFL star and broadcasting legend Frank Gifford died this day in 2015. He was married to Kathie Lee Gifford for 29 years and she took to social media today to share remembrances and the certainty of their Christian faith, saying, her former husband is now in "his real home - BET AV - THE FATHER'S HOUSE."
Bet Av is Hebrew for "the father's house" and, according to the Today show's website, is a phrase she used in her 2018 book "The Rock, the Road and the Rabbi." In her social media post, Kathie Lee also spoke about her certainty of reunion with Frank in heaven.
"We miss him everyday but will hold him again!"
The couple has two grown children, son Cody Gifford and daughter Cassidy Gifford, and the latter, who is also an actress, shared a touching message of her own on her social media feed.
"To have lost you means to have gotten you. And it was the best."
Kathie Lee Gifford, who stepped down from the Today show earlier this year and moved to Nashville, is now writing screenplays and acting in and making movies. Be sure to remember her and her family in your prayers as they deal with memories that must still be tinged with sadness.
