Two Faith-Based Films in the Top 40 for Weekend Box Office Revenue

Unbroken: Path to Redemption and God Bless the Broken Road make the list despite dropping theater counts.

Both movies are directed by Harold Cronk (God's Not Dead & God's Not Dead 2) and are nearing the end of their theatrical runs, but they continue to bring in enough revenue get on Box Office Mojo's chart.

Unbroken: Path to Redemption, a biopic about WWII hero Louis Zamperini's journey to faith in Christ, came in 27th place this past weekend, generating an estimated $43,500. Now in its fifth week, it is down to 124 movie theaters. Since its debut, the film has brought in a total of $6.14 million, which is a little more than its production budget.

Playing in just 53 theaters, God Bless the Broken Road, made approximately $5,000 over the weekend, coming in 40th place. Out for six weeks now, it has not performed as well as the other picture, earning just $2.8 million total. That is well short of its $7.7 million estimated budget.
