Two Harold Cronk Pictures Make the Weekend Top 50

Box office numbers are on the downslide for Unbroken: Path to Redemption and God Bless the Broken Road, but the movies are not done yet.

Unbroken: Path to Redemption is the stronger of the two and it brought in an estimated $160 thousand to claim 29th place on Box Office Mojo's list. As it heads into its fourth week, this film about WWII hero Louis Zamperini's coming to faith in Christ is only $10 thousand short of matching its $6 million production budget.

The second Cronk-directed film, God Bless the Broken Road, is going into its fifth week, but has not performed as well. It came in 48th place over the weekend, earning a meager $22 thousand. The picture, now playing in just 53 movie theaters, has brought home $2.8 million all told.

A third Christian movie, Beautifully Broken - yeah, I know, it also has the word broken in the title, go figure - finished in 74th place. It is a true story about forgiveness and healing involving a refugee, a prisoner and a girl who suffered physical and emotional trauma. Now in its seventh week, it earned just over $3,000. Its total box office take so far is $1.2 million.
