The Harold Cronk-directed picture cracks the top 50 for all-time theater revenue among Christian films.
The biopic about WWII hero Louis Zamperini's journey to faith brought in $1.28 million in its second weekend in theaters, boosting its total haul so far to $4.53 million, according to Box Office Mojo.
That's good for 47th place on the list of all-time box office revenue in the Christian movie genre. With the film still showing on 1,484 screens nationwide, it's got a shot at moving into the top 40 in the next few weeks: it needs to pass $5.8 million to pull it off.
The news, however, is not all rosy. Unbroken: Path to Redemption has to get to $6 million just to cover its estimated production budget. Even then it will still be a long way from profitability since movies typically need to more than double the budget to be in the black.
