Weekend Revenue Drops for Two Christian Films

Updated: Oct 1, 2018

As their theater count goes down, box office revenue follows for the movies from director Harold Cronk.

Unbroken: Path to Redemption and God Bless the Broken Road are in their third and fourth week of release respectively, and they are enduring their inevitable slide.

The first of the two is holding up better, though. It brought in an estimated $487 thousand over the weekend, good enough for 20th place in overall box office performance. Those are decent numbers considering its theater count was cut in half from last weekend, dropping from 1,484 to 741. Unbroken: Path to Redemption's total box office receipts now stand at $5.6 million.

God Bless the Broken Road has underperformed from the outset and continues to do so. Now showing in just 109 theaters, it generated only $36 thousand over the weekend, coming in at number 53. Its overall box office performance is just $2.78 million.
